Stop! Say no more to me about it!
The days have gone
For which I sought
Never to return.
Hold your love away from me,
I do not deserve it.
For it is a flame struggling to burn
And I the breeze that blows it.
Keep your soul away from me,
I do not wish to scar it,
As my own holds the ache
Of a thousand deaths.
Keep your words on your tongue,
I can never hear them.
For as my mind tries to listen,
